On The Skirted Round Table::

If you haven't had a chance to listen, we have two fantastic guests lined up over on SRT.
The newest is, world renowned architect/designer, Bobby McAlpine of McAlpine/Tankersley architecture . Such a humbling and exciting moment for the three of us to have the opportunity, to sit with the man behind this incredible mind. Bobby, a true Southern gentleman who lulls you with his melodic vocal cadence while discussing his cerebral approach to design, is absolutely charming as he erudite.

His new book, The Home Within Us, has quickly become a favorite staple for everyone of us, passionate about design. Not only is it just a work of beauty for it's photography and images, but the writing is compellingly philosophical and thought provoking.

We want to thank Bobby for offering a free book to one of our lucky listeners. Just leave us a comment to enter { you must have your email linked, or you won't be eligible }

In case you haven't had a chance to stop by last week's SRT, the lovely Christina Strutt, founder of the British design and lifestyle firm Cabbages and Roses
spent some time with us discussing her new book::

At Home With Country: Bringing the Comforts of Country Home (Cabbages & Roses)

The book is rich with images of the, quintessentially British aesthetic; combining, romance, comfort and elegance with grace and ease.
Christina is hoping to open a Cabbages and Roses shop stateside. Where do you think would be her best local? I vote somewhere on the Northeastern seaboard.

Hope you'll stop in for a listen and for a chance to win Bobby McAlpine's beautiful book. Such different design directions, but both done with such expertise - it's a treat to hear from them both, I think you won't want to miss these.
